Over the years, Ionia has partnered with state government, Kenai Peninsula social service agencies, and local grass roots groups on projects and coalitions.






  • Ionia supports egalitarian eco-villages world-wide through association with the Tamera Community and other organizations committed to developing sustainable village life.



  • An Ionia resident serves as board vice- president of the Alaska Peer Support Consortium, whose mission is “To develop, grow and nurture peer support & peer run services, Alaska style!”


  • Ionia residents are founding members of the CHOICES Board of Directors – an Anchorage program which offer non-coercive, alternative treatment for mental illness.
